Palm Pre Touch Screen With WebOS


Palm Pre was far behind in the smart-phone race for many years. As many other devices were introduced with a lot of attractive features, Smartphone form Palm was way behind in terms of features. The features that were used in Palm's models were said to be outdated. Now the new WebOS and some advanced unique technologies used in Palm Pre have helped this THL W8 Android Phone to overtake many reputed model in the category.

Design and features:
The dominating feature of this model is the 4.0 Inch Touch Screen Phone. Though it is smaller than some few leading models, it provides fantastic image clarity. The multi-touch technology of the screen make you feel gliding over ice and feel free to zoom in and zoom out an image. You can delete emails easily by filching it by one side to other. The well-organized multitasking function is an added feature. The applications that are opened will be displayed as a deck of Cards. Switching over from one task to other is very simple by flipping the deck of cards. If you want to close the application, easily flick the card and it will fly out. It consists a built in GPS receiver, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Specifications:
Palm Pre has 3.1 inches touch screen with 320 x 480 display resolution. It has 8 GB on board memory and is loaded with Palm WebOS. It is equipped with 3G facility, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It has 3.0 mp digital cameras. It has no video recording facility and has standby time up to 288 hours. Palm Pre consists of nicely designed digital player. It has physical keyboard with slider design. The battery life will last up to 5 hours.

The Good:
The innovative X12 Arc Screen Protector consumes low power and provides high fidelity. The incorporated application system called Synergy is a nice feature added to this model. It permits the applications to be shared among Yahoo and other mail providers, Facebook, Google applications and other files stored in the device.

The Bad:
Though Palm Pre is equipped with 3.0 Mpixel camera with flash memory, the basic model does not have video recording facility. Software has to be updated to avail the facility. The battery life is also not sufficient. The onboard memory is not satisfactory, making the applications to load slowly. As there is no virtual keyboard, physical keyboard has to be pushed open, making the typing little difficult.
